Below is a transcript of the interview with Carlos.

Hi, I’m Olivia. Welcome to Houses Flipping People. I’m here in Dallas, Texas today with one of our top real estate investors. Carlos. Hi, So nice to have you here.

Carlos Miramontes

Thank you. It’s a pleasure being here. And thank you for inviting me.
First of all, thank you for inviting me. And my previous what I was doing before this, I used to be in the car business. I spent 14 years in the car business. I’ve done everything from a General Sales Manager to a finance manager as well. So a lot of experience there.

Carlos, what made you interested in in real estate?

Carlos Miramontes

What made me interested in real estate is the opportunity for the freedom of life. You know, we work and work and most people get stuck on that on that path, and being able to work for somebody else. But I wanted more, I want an opportunity to work for myself, to not be tied down to anything. So freedom is what got me interested in real estate. And I saw that this program with Phill and Shenoa was my shot and my opportunity. And I just took it and ran with it.

And from all the other careers why real estate?

Carlos Miramontes

Real estate is something that I’ve always attracted me for many years I’ve been attracted to it started by buying a couple of rent homes. And it’s something tangible, and it’s something that I had passion for it. Because I believe that if you gotta if you can make it anything, the first thing is you got to have passion for something, if you don’t have passion, and it’s too hard to make it.

Well, I completely agree with you. And that how did you discover our network?

Carlos Miramontes

The way we discovered the network is, actually my wife, my wife knew that I wanted to look for something else. And my wife and I, we started talking about let’s rent houses, let’s get into the apartment business, but we didn’t know how to start. So we ran across Phill and Shenoah’s program and we came to a three day seminar. You know, the funny thing is that I was only able to go to the first day and the third day, I missed the second day because I had to work. But I got enough of it, where I saw that they knew what they were talking about. They had the right coach and in place. And I knew that if I was gonna do something, I needed professional help. And that’s when I knew that this was the place for me to be at

And so I guess you missed the one the first day on the and the second day as well. But when you came in and said what was what was your aha moment?

Carlos Miramontes

The aha moment was when I saw that they had something in place where you had the right coaching, where I was going to have and I have the right contacts I was going to have the opportunity to work with somebody individually some professional here in Dallas, and there was not going to be a conversation that I had to deal with over the phone or just video so I’m just going to be people that I could deal with him directly. And I knew that it was possible because I saw a lot of people being able to do it and I knew they could do it. I could do it.

I love it yeah I completely agree with you.
We are ready to see this amazing project and we are going to start off our drone video. So Carlos please share with us about this neighborhood.

Yes, this property is actually one of my favorite parts. Pretty soon I really enjoy flipping in this neighborhood. This is part of Dallas central Dallas, this house is located 10 minutes from downtown, five minutes from the main freeway, five minutes from iski. So there’s a lot of jobs in this area, schools are close to it, like the main freeway so close to it. But this is a great property, I picked us up with a seller that he used to actually own it. He was renting this house out, he had some issues with the tenants, or he had to evict them. And unfortunately, they vandalized the house. They took a lot of the copper from all the plumbing, they cut the electric out, they stole the AC system, they broke some windows. So at this point, he’s like I gotta sell. The great news is that that person referred me to him as a friend from my previous career, refer me to it. So once I knew where the property was at, and as you can see by the video is a very populated area, nice established neighborhood.
